A Collection of Awesome Theme Conversions
In today’s theme community, the publishers are pushing out some fantastic new designs which lend themselves to specific niche professions. Only in some cases is the design modified to look different, but when it is, it can be done to excellent effect.
We’ve listed a collection of the greatest theme conversions on the internet below with before and after screenshots.
THiCK by WooThemes
THiCK designed by Matt Brett for WooThemes is quite a grunge theme, yet My Irish Twins is completely the opposite.
Fresh News by WooThemes
Fresh News is one of WooThemes fastest selling themes and is still one of the strongest selling themes even though it’s been out for sale for quite some time. GoMediaZine took the theme and completely changed the design with their excellent expertise.
Streamline by Studiopress
Streamline by Studiopress is a very corporate looking blog theme. With many different ways to customise the theme you would expect to see it used for news websites however Thirteen Yards to Victory went in a complete different direction for their design.
OverEasy by WooThemes
OverEasy by WooThemes was one of their first business based themes. It seemed to encompass the beginning of WooThemes transition in to highly changeable themes through the use of strong widget control. My Petunia took a radical approach to changing OverEasy to their current design.
BusyBee by WooThemes
Sarah Stanley has taken Busy Bee by WooThemes away from being an ordinary magazine style themes and re-designed it almost to the point where it is completely un-recognisable.
Open Air by WooThemes
Think Design have taken Open Air by WooThemes, a relatively corporate magazine style looking blog theme in to new territory with their unique design. Whilst the main framework of the theme is still intact, the general aesthetics have been completely changed.
The Station by WooThemes
Pressgrid.com have taken The Station by WooThemes, an extreme business theme and changed it so much it doesn’t look anything like it did originally. The dark and mysterious look makes this one of the ultimate theme design conversions.
Papercut by WooThemes
Papercut by WooThemes is a typical Grunge styled personal theme. Brad Ruggles has taken the development and design of Papercut to a new level and brought the best out of a few themes to create his current blog.
Aperture by WooThemes
AUS120 have done an awesome job of using the Aperture Theme by WooThemes, a predominant photographers theme as a business styled theme. With the unique, subtle design features they have added makes it a contender for an awesome theme conversion.
Granted you’ve found more alterations on WooThemes products rather than other theme providers? Does this tell a story? We’ll wait and see in our next theme conversion round-up.
